Last year, I moved to the Twin Cities with my family and joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota Medical School. It was an exciting transition because I had friends and colleagues already in the area. Equally important, my new team shared my drive for advancing my research. As I approach my one-year anniversary, I’m launching Babbar Lab as a home base for my thoughts and research. My hope is to offer a window into our work and connect with others who are interested in a more integrative approach to maternal care.
Although the Twin Cities community has faced some difficult months—and especially difficult days recently—I am proud to call this place home. Although this first winter has been incredibly cold, we’ve found the people to be warm and welcoming. I’m grateful for the opportunity to raise my family here and look forward to everything we will learn and build together.
